Your planning partner, not a worksheet machine

A lesson that knows where it’s going.

TeacherHero is an AI lesson planner for K-12 teachers. You build the course, unit, and week once; every daily lesson is then generated as six gradual-release sections with that whole curriculum in context. A complete example is free to explore, and Pro AI generation is $8.99/month.

Most AI tools hand you a worksheet that has never met your class.

Watch it plan a real lesson.

Generic AI hands you a worksheet that has never met your class. Your coach reads the course, the unit, and yesterday’s lesson before it writes a word.

Every choice has a why

A scripted preview — inside the app, every section is generated live with your actual curriculum in context, and you refine by highlighting any line.

The gradual release, wired together

Six moments. One destination.

Every section is generated knowing what came before it — so your warm-up sets up your model, and your exit ticket proves the target.

Today’s learning targetI can explain how a character’s response to conflict develops a theme.
Do Now5 min

Two retrieval questions from yesterday: What did Marta overhear outside the classroom? What did staying silent cost her?

Spaced retrieval — yesterday’s evidence becomes today’s raw material, right when the memory starts to fade.
Aligned to the day’s learning target

Built for the whole week, not one lucky prompt.

One target, all day

Every section is generated with your full course, unit, week, and lesson context — plus what is already on the page.

Coach-level choices

Take the recommendation, pick the strategy yourself, or mix it up with a fresh, aligned alternative. Every move comes with the why.

Materials that agree

Lesson plan, student packet, slides, printables, answer keys, and supports — one instructional spine, exported to PDF, slides, or Drive.

Judge the output first.

Four of the moves TeacherHero makes inside a full lesson, each with its real output shown in full.

Built for how you actually teach.

Your curriculum, your call

What we send to the AI — and what we never do.

Four statements you can hold us to. The last one is the part most tools leave out.

Read the full trust page — what we store, what reaches the model, who else receives it, and what we do not have. Written to be forwarded to your administrator.

Your uploads are not sent until you say so

An uploaded document is stored with two separate texts: the full extraction, and the excerpt you confirm. Only the confirmed excerpt is ever put in front of the model, and only for sources you switch on. Until you confirm one, the “Not sent to AI” badge on that source is a statement of fact about what the code does.

Drive export can only see the files it made

Exporting to Google Drive requests the drive.file scope and nothing wider. That scope grants access only to files this app itself creates. TeacherHero cannot list, read, or touch the rest of your Drive — not by policy, but because it was never granted the permission to.

Your curriculum is not training data

Your courses, units, lessons, and uploaded materials are yours. They are not used to train models and are not published anywhere by default. Sharing a lesson to the public library is a separate, deliberate action you take one lesson at a time, and it is never on by default.

What we do not claim

TeacherHero holds no SOC 2 report, no FERPA or COPPA certification, and no third-party privacy seal, so it claims none. If your district requires a signed data-privacy agreement or a completed vendor review before staff may use a tool, treat that requirement as unmet today and check with your district first.

Frequently asked questions

What is TeacherHero?

TeacherHero is an AI instructional-coaching and lesson-planning platform for K-12 teachers. It holds your course, unit, week, and daily lessons as one connected structure, then generates each lesson as six gradual-release sections aimed at a single learning target — along with the student-facing materials you need to teach it tomorrow.

How is TeacherHero different from other AI lesson plan generators?

Most AI lesson tools answer one prompt in isolation. TeacherHero sends your whole curriculum with every request: the course, the unit, the week, the lesson's learning target, the sections already written, and any materials you uploaded. That is why Tuesday's lesson continues Monday's instead of restarting the topic.

Is TeacherHero free?

A TeacherHero account and its fully built example course, unit, week, and lesson are free to explore without a credit card. TeacherHero Pro is $8.99/month and unlocks new AI lesson, assessment, differentiation, alignment, and resource generation. Everything already in your curriculum remains available if you cancel.

Does TeacherHero align lessons to standards?

You set the learning target for a lesson and attach the standards it serves. TeacherHero then checks each generated section against that target and tells you where a section drifts, and why. Alignment is a readable check you can act on, not a badge — you stay the one who decides.

What can I export from a TeacherHero lesson?

Eleven artifact kinds off one lesson: teacher lesson plan, student packet, printables, anchor charts, answer key, slides as PowerPoint or PDF or a browser deck, a Word presentation outline, the student resource, and a support packet. Student-facing documents never carry answer keys or teacher notes.

Does TeacherHero use my curriculum to train AI models?

No. Your curriculum is not training data. Material you upload stays in your account, and none of its text reaches the AI model unless you confirm an excerpt for that specific source. The “Not sent to AI” badge on an unconfirmed source is literal, not marketing.
